Before adding your Helix camera into the cloud, please make sure it is set up on your network and has a valid username and password. The default password for the camera "admin" will not work when adding a camera into the cloud. If the camera has been idle on your network for more than 2 hours, please reset the camera to create a secure connection.
The MAC address for your Helix camera will also be needed during this process. The MAC address can be found on the label of the camera or in the web user interface in the camera's information menu. For more information on how to add a camera into the cloud using a computer, please refer to the details below.
Step 1: Visit amcrestcloud.com and log into your cloud account. Click Add Camera.
Note: If a device is already on your cloud account and you would like to add another device, click the + Add Camera option.
Step 2: Select Helix.
Step 3: Enter a name for your device and click Next.
Step 4: Enter the camera's MAC address, username, and password, then click Next.
Step 5: Set the camera's cloud settings.
Select between a continuous recording or event (motion only) recording plan. If no recording is required, select Off. Click Finish to add the camera and configure it into the cloud.
Note: If the incorrect date & time are being displayed, ensure the correct date & time and DST settings are applied to your camera in the camera's web UI or using the Helix Pro app on your mobile device.
