The intrusion function allows the camera to trigger an event if an object, such as a human or vehicle, crosses a set detection area. After adding the detection area, the interface will show the rule as enabled, use your mouse to draw a detection area on the interface. For more information on how to setup the rule please refer to the information provided below.
Step 1: Log in to the web user interface (web UI) for your camera. For more information on how to access the web UI for your camera click here.
Step 2: Click on Settings>>Event>>IVS>>Intrusion and click Enable.
Step 3: Use your mouse to draw a detection area on the interface. By default, the detection area will be set to full screen, however, to adjust the area use your mouse to set a customized detection area. Click Apply. Click the Clear option to remove the detection line.
Step 4: The feature will be set to trigger if a human or vehicle crosses the detection area, however, the rule can be set to human only or vehicle detection only. Use the Type dropdown menu to modify the object filter if needed.
• Draw Enable or disable the ability to draw a detection line or area on the interface.
• Send Email: Allows the camera to send an email notification if an event is triggered.
• Snapshot: Allows the email notification to attach a snapshot of the IVS event.
• Record: Record the event to a inserted microSD card or set storage path.
Step 4: A schedule option will be provided, this allows you to customize when the feature will be active on your camera. To customize a the schedule, click and drag to set the rule for certain dates and times. For instance, if you would like the rule to only apply at 6am till 5pm all week, click and drag the applicable area on the interface and click Apply.
To remove a schedule, click the ( ) icon. This can apply to the whole schedule or specific days if needed. To reset to default settings, click the Reset Defaults button. To refresh the page, click the Refresh button. To apply the settings, click the Apply button.
