Helix NVR's have feature a built-in security feature that will audibly alert you when an abnormality within the system is detected. These event abnormalities can range from disk alarms (no hard drive), IP address conflict errors, or network connection errors to the NVR.
In this article you will learn how to disable the missing hard drive (HDD) buzzer on your NVR. This will disable the audible buzzer alert from your system when not using a HDD or if a HDD is not detected properly on the system. Step 1: Log into the NVR directly or using the NVR's web user interface (web UI). For more information on how to access the web UI for your device, click here.
Step 2: In the web UI, click on Settings>>Event>>Abnormality and disable the disk alarm icon.
Step 3: Click Apply to save the configuration. The NVR's HDD buzzer is now disabled.
