If you have lost or forgotten the password associated with your NVR and would like to reset the password. This process will need to be performed locally on the NVR. The NVR will need to be connected to your network using an Ethernet cable and powered on. Ensure the NVR is being accessed locally and has a VGA or HDMI cable, mouse, and monitor hooked up to it before proceeding.
The password can be recovered using three methods, email, question, or QR Code verification. To access the password reset options, click the Forgot Password option located on the log in screen.
Select a password recovery method from the provided drop down menu.
Email Verification
The email verification option allows the device to send a password recovery email to you. This email will provide verification code to recover your email. Click the Send option to allow the device to send the verification code. Enter the verification code in the interface and click OK.
Enter a new password for your NVR and click Modify Password. Use the new password to log into your NVR.
Security Question Verification
The security question verification option can be used to recover your password if security questions were set in the device during initial setup. Enter the answers to the provided questions and click OK. Once the questions have been answered correctly, enter a new password for your NVR and click Modify Password. Use the new password to log into your NVR.
