The motion detection option will be enabled by default on your NVR for each camera connected to the device. However, if you would like to set up or modify these settings please refer to the information provided below.
Step 1: Log into the NVR directly or using the NVR's web user interface (web UI). For more information on how to access the web UI for your device, click here.
Step 2: Navigate to Settings>>Event>>Motion Detection to access the motion detection tab and enable or disable this function.
Step 3: The detection area will be set to record the entire area, however, to customize the detection area, use your mouse to click and drag areas of the interface you do not want to monitor. Motion detection sensitivity can also be adjusted if needed using the provided drop down menu, it can be adjusted from low, medium, high, and highest if needed. Click Apply to set any updates.
Step 4: The events tab will allow you to enable the ability to record the motion events to the hard drive, set post record options, as well as send email alerts (if it is set up on your device) or alarm out functions if appliable.
Step 5: A schedule can be set as well that will allow the device to only activate during specific days or times. Use your mouse to modify the schedule. For instance, if you want the motion schedule to only apply between 6am and 6pm, you can use your mouse to only have these times highlighted in the schedule.
