A recording schedule is used to allow the device to detect motion, IVS rules, or other recording types only at specified days and times. By default, these features will be set to record 24/7, however for more information on how to configure a recording schedule, please refer to the information provided below.
Step 1: Log into the NVR directly or using the NVR's web user interface (web UI). For more information on how to access the web UI for your device, click here.
Step 2: Click on the Settings icon, select Storage, and click Schedule. The Record tab is for video recordings and the Snapshot tab is for event snapshots. By default, Continuous (24/7), Motion (Motion Detection), and IVS/Audio (IVS & Audio Detection) will be set for all days of the week as indicated by the different colored bars available in the menu. However, each record type can be modified if needed. Make sure the Record as well as Record Audio options are enabled as well as the appropriate stream type.
Step 3: To adjust a schedule, select the correct channel as well as a record type (continuous, motion, or IVS/Audio) that you would like to modify. The schedule is set with days of the week on the side and the hours of the day on top. In this example, we will be setting the NVR to record motion detection between 6am and 6pm (18:00) throughout the week.
To begin, select the yellow motion record type option and use your mouse to deselect the hours as well as days you would like the schedule to apply. As shown below, motion detection is set to only detect motion events between 6am and 6pm. Click Apply to set the schedule.
Note: The same concept can be applied to other record types such as continuous and IVS recordings. If you would like to apply this schedule to other channels on your device, click the Copy button and select the channels you would like to set for this schedule. To remove an entire record type from the schedule, select record type (color box) and click the ( ) icon to remove it from the schedule.
