This quick article will show you how to export and view any recorded events or videos located on your device. This process will require the use of a USB flash drive. We recommend inserting a flash drive with a minimum of 8GB into the device to export your events. For more information on how to export and view recordings, please refer to the information provided below.
Step 1: Log into the local GUI of your device.
Step 2: Click Playback.
Step 3: Select the Event Recording tab.
Step 4: Select the cameras you would like to view from the device list and enter a start and end time for the events. A filter to view specific events such as motion detection, IVS can be used if needed. Click Search.
Step 5: To export a recording, click the download icon located in the Operate column next to the recording. It will display the backup details including the stream, video type, channel number, size of the recording, etc. Click Save
Step 6: The recording will be exported to the root directory of the inserted USB flash drive unless modified in the next interface. Click OK to export the recording to the inserted USB flash drive. The progress of the export can be found in the Backup List menu.
Once it has finished exporting you can remove the flash drive from the device and insert it into your computer to view the recording.
Exporting a Recording Using a Web Browser.
If you would like to export a recording in a web browser, access the web user interface (web UI) of the device using a web browser. We will be using the clip tool to clip and download a recording. For more information on how to access the web UI for your device, click here.
Step 1: Click Playback.
Step 2: Select the date of the events from the calendar and select the applicable channels from the device list to display the events in the timeline. Scroll through the timeline to the start of the event and select the clip icon.
Step 3: Scroll to the end of the event in the timeline and select the save icon.
Step 4: The backup details will be displayed, click Save.
The event will begin to download. The progress of the export can be seen in the downloads list.
The event will automatically download to once it has finished exporting in the browser.
