The tripwire feature allows the device to trigger an event if an object crosses a set detection line. This feature may only be applicable to Helix devices that support this function. For more information on how to use the human and detection features, please refer to the information provided below.
Step 1: Log into the NVR directly or using the NVR's web user interface (web UI). For more information on how to access the web UI for your device, click here.
Step 2: Select the settings option and navigate to Event>>IVS>>Tripwire and enable the feature for the applicable channel.
Step 3: Use your mouse to customize the detection line. Use the directional dropdown box to set how the object passes through the line to trigger the event, A->B (left to right), B ->A (right to left), A<->B (both directions). If using a Helix camera that supports human and vehicle detection, use the Type dropdown menu to select human only, vehicle only, or human/vehicle detection. Once the detection area and object filters have been applied click Apply.
Additional event actions such as sending a email alert or other options can be applied in the event actions tab if needed. To set an optional schedule to apply to the events, click the schedule option and set the schedule.
How To View IVS Events
In the Playback menu, select the channel you wish to view from the device list, date (using the calendar) and use the provided filters. In this case, sense we are viewing human/vehicle events, we will choose the blue IVS/Audio filter to view the events in the timeline.
