The human/vehicle detection feature allows the device to trigger an event if an object such as a human or vehicle crosses a set detection area. These features will be dependent on the capabilities of the connected Helix cameras only. For instance, if your camera only supports human detection, vehicle detection will not be available for that device in the NVR. For more information on how to use the human and detection features, please refer to the information provided below.
Step 1: Log into the NVR directly or using the NVR's web user interface (web UI). For more information on how to access the web UI for your device, click here.
Step 2: Select the settings option and navigate to Event>>IVS>>Human/Vehicle Detection and enable the feature for the applicable channel.
Step 3: Use your mouse to customize the detection area. It will be set to full screen by default however it can be adjusted to specific areas if needed. If using a Helix camera that supports human and vehicle detection, use the Type dropdown menu to select human only, vehicle only, or human/vehicle detection. Once the detection area and any object filters have been applied click Apply.
Additional event actions such as sending a email alert or other options can be applied in the event actions tab if needed. To set a specific schedule to apply to the events, click the schedule option and set the schedule.
How To View Human/Vehicle Events
In the Playback menu, select the channel you wish to view from the device list, date (using the calendar) and use the provided filters. In this case, sense we are viewing human/vehicle events, we will choose the blue IVS/Audio filter to view the events in the timeline.
