Before connecting your device to the Helix Pro app please make sure the Helix device is powered on, receiving data, and on the same network as your mobile device. If you are adding an NVR, please make sure your device is initialized first, has a device password, and ready to add to the app.
Scan QR Code P2P
The Scan QR Code P2P option allows you to connect your Helix device to the Helix Pro app using a secure P2P connection. The QR code and its details device can be found on the physical device or in the information menu using the device’s web user interface (Web UI). | 1. Open the app, click Add Device and select Scan QR Code P2P, and scan the QR code on your device. Tap Manually Enter QR code if you need to enter the QR code details manually. | 2. Enter a name for your device and enter the default password. The default password will be admin. Click Apply. | 3. Give the device a password and click Apply to finish adding it into the app. |
IP/Domain/DDNS
The IP/Domain/DDNS option allows you to manually connect your Helix device to the Helix Pro app by entering its specific network address or a registered hostname, ensuring a direct connection even if your home IP address changes. Please note, if adding a remote device, please ensure the device’s control port, 30001, is also port forwarded on your network before adding it to the Helix Pro app, for more information on how to port forward a Helix device, click here.

| 1. Open the app, tap Add Device and select IP/Domain/DDNS. | 2. Give the device a name, enter the IP address or DDNS domain, and enter the password for your device. Click Apply to finish adding it into the app. |
Search Device
The Search Device option automatically scans your local network to identify and link compatible Helix devices, eliminating the need for manual IP entry, or scanning QR codes while adding it into the app.
Note: If using the search device option, please make sure your phone is connected to the same network as the devices you are trying to add into the Helix Pro app.

Allow the app to search your network and select the device you want to add from the device list. | 2 If this is the first time accessing your device enter the default password, admin. | 3 Enter a new password for your device.
