Privacy Masking can be used as a security feature that allows you to black out or "shield" specific areas within a camera's field of view. This ensures that sensitive regions, such as license plates, neighboring windows, or private property are not visible during live viewing and are not recorded in the saved footage.
This feature can be set up using the Helix Pro app on your mobile device however for more accurate set up it can also be set in a web browser using the device's web user interface. For more information on how to set up privacy masking please refer to the information provided below.
Step 1: Log in to the web user interface (web UI) for your camera. For more information on how to access the web UI for your camera click here.
Step 2: Navigate to Settings>>Camera>>Configuration and select the Privacy Masking tab. Use your mouse to set a privacy block on the interface. A maximum of four privacy blocks can be set if needed.
Step 3: Click Apply to set the privacy masking blocks.
Note: To remove a single block, double click on the block and click Apply. To remove all the privacy blocks, click the Remove All option and click Apply.
